Founded by Steve Burgess, known locally as “Stevie B,” the shop carries forward a 25-year legacy that started with his first guitar shop, Stevie B’s Total Guitar, back in 1996. That leap of faith grew into a lifelong commitment to making guitar dreams come true for musicians across the area.

In March 2024, Stevie B passed the torch to Matt Fisher, a guitarist from Louisville, Kentucky, who shares a deep passion for music and community. Matt’s background as a musician and experience playing in bands shaped his dedication to supporting local talent. Now at the helm of St. Pete Guitars, Matt is excited to carry on the store’s musician-friendly vibe, from expert guitar and amp repair to sponsoring live shows and events at venues like the Capital Theater.
